Turzi: Baltimore from Brilliantly Different on Vimeo.
‘Baltimore’ was inspired by the April 1968 riots in the eastern US city, a reaction to Martin Luther King’s assassination. The track features Bobby Gillespie on vocals and is taken from Turzi’s second full length album, ‘B’.
In the spirit of Turzi’s old-school heroes, the track is a Madchester-sounding pop song with heavy sound-effects and mixing skills by the cult British duo Max Heyes / Brendan Lynch, a.k.a Lynch Mob of 90’s fame, also known for their work with Paul Weller and Primal Scream.

The elevator paradox is a paradox first noted by Marvin Stern and George Gamow, physicists who had offices on different floors of a multi-story building. Gamow, who had an office near the bottom of the building, noticed that the first elevator to stop at his floor was most often going down, while Stern, who had an office near the top, noticed that the first elevator to stop at his floor was most often going up. At first sight, this created the impression that perhaps elevator cars were being manufactured in the middle of the building and sent upwards to the roof and downwards to the basement to be dismantled.
