So, nine years ago, like yesterday, I learned that all my efforts of skipping the army were futile. And I decided that, since I didn’t have any choice, I should just take it like a man and go.

So I started saying goodbye to friends and everyone that mattered. It must have been the saddest day in my life.

And now, nine years later, I was taking Skippy for a walk, and thought how ignorant and stupid I was back then. I wanted everything, but everything was not important. Skippy, playing in the sun and looking at me once in a while to see if I was there, is important. He walked and run around, going a bit further away than usual but with just a nod from me, he’d hurry back. Wish I knew this back then. That, once you know that you belong somewhere, you’ll always find your way back.
